Red Queen ruled Red Rivers of Woe, then Land of Red Trees, alongside with her brother, Red King. The two ruled with an iron fist and a never-ending dedication to their people. However, Red Trees were found to be housing Malice, a very dangerous foe that could eat their lands alive, and Red King set out with an army to fight it but they were wiped out by the Malice. Once Red Queen found out that her brother was devoured to death, she lost it. She cried and cried for days until the rivers ran red with her bloody tears. Her people started to leave in fear of the Malice and Red Queen herself and the once bustling land turned into a ghost town. Malice started to roam about freely and it was said that it ate away half of Red Queen’s right arm when she was on her daily walks about the Red Castle. It then nestled itself into her amputated arm, reactivating whenever she needed a “hand” to help her in battles. She had been alone for so long she snaps whenever she sees someone wandering in her lands.

When Offline, Red Queen is known as Akane, a 15-years old girl attending a private high school in Japan. She is a very shy and reclusive girl but is incredibly smart as shown in her test results. She lost her older brother, Takeshi, when he suffered a heart attack from enduring too much mental and physical pain from the virtual game.
